Oak class is taught by Miss Whitmore with Mrs Dhesi as the year 5 and 6 HLTA.

 Learning for this term

This term we will be writing a range of genres including, newspaper reports, story writing, poetry and adverts. We will be reading ‘The boy at the back of the class’ as our class reader as well as exploring lots of different texts during our writing lessons.

This term will focus on place value, the four operations (addition and subtraction, multiplication and division) and fractions.

Our topic in Geography and History this term is Ancient Greece.

PE is on a Tuesday and Wednesday this term, please come to school dressed in PE kit on these days.

Homework

TT rockstars, targets will be given out on a Monday and will be checked the following Monday.

Topic homework will be due every other Friday. Please see the grid sent home or on seesaw. 

Please read with your child at least 3 times per week and mark it in their reading record - they will be entered into the reading raffle for reading 3 times at home.

For those that receive spellings, please can children learn their spellings for the weekly test.
