Welcome

Working Together, Aiming High, Shining Brightly

Let your light shine before others - Matthew 5:16

On behalf of the children, staff and governors I’d like to welcome you to Milton Ernest C of E Primary School. Milton Ernest C of E Primary School is a village school at the heart of a rural community and is part of a federation with Eileen Wade Primary School in Upper Dean. We believe in collaboration and teamwork to ensure the highest aspirations and the very best outcomes for all children across the Federation.

As a Church of England school, faith is central to our school's ways of learning and living. Worship and reflection form a central part of our school life. At Milton Ernest we pride ourselves on nurturing all of our pupils through our school Christian values: truth, patience, respect, peace and love. These values underpin all that we do, ensuring high quality relationships and positive attitudes to learning. The life skill of team work is embedded in everything that happens. The future of the school is shaped by children, parents, Governors and the wider community. We hold an open door policy which allows everybody to contribute; we believe in working in partnership with you to ensure the best for all our children.

Our Vision
Our federation values every individual enabling them to flourish, aim high and reach their full potential with a lifelong love of learning that will prepare them for their future. Through their experience with us, they will foster a resilient attitude towards challenge and demonstrate a desire to learn, the motivation to improve and aspiration to be a positive contributor to our community and global village.

Our Aims
To provide the best possible education for each child through the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum that matches individual needs and aspirations
To provide a secure, happy and stimulating learning environment in which children are challenged and encouraged to take risks
To enable children to become numerate, literate, creative and curious
To promote a healthy life style
To nurture an atmosphere in which children, parents, staff and community feel part of the school family.
To encourage mutual respect, confidence, co-operation and self-esteem
To help our children to understand and respect other cultures, beliefs and faiths – so that they celebrate diversity and have no fear of difference.

Maple Class We watched the story of 'Chicken Clicking'. She made a lot of mistakes online which we discussed as a class. We drew round our hands and made red hands for information we do not give out on the internet e.g name, address, etc and green hands for information that is safe to give out e.g favourite colour.
